Special moments

                                                                                                                By: Larissa Marques
The year is almost finished! And after much suffering, we can finally rest without caring about the school and the tests! In these moments we stop and think which were the best and the most especials moments of the year. The moments that worth living for.
One of the most hilarious times was the jokes in my drama classes, while we were rehearsing the play and a few moments before we clib on the stage. The moments that I spent with my drama colleagues, in classes or not, were always very funny.
Other enjoyables moments were those that I spend with my classmates and with my friends...but they are too many to put here.
After all, when i think about my life, a remember lots of things and moments that mada my life more enjoyable and is because of these that life worth living.

Moments Worth Living

                                                                                                                          By: Júlia Carvalho
Finally the year is finishing. OH YEAH!!! Well, we still have the final tests that aren't easy, but after that we will be able to do anything: sleep late, wake up late, do nothing the whole day, things like that. But if you think about this year, what can you say that worth the time?
Some moments that I can say that really worth living were the ones with the girls of my volleyball team, all of then, the jokes, the games and the talks. Another one was when I went to Seattle, when the amercians came and also the moments with my friends at school or when we went out. I can't forget the times that I spent with my family that were perfect.
So think about your life. It has ups and downs and you have to think that when everything is bad and you think that life sucks, remember the times that you really enjoyed and remember that every single moment can, in the future, become a moment tha worth living. As that frase says: "live every moment, laugh everyday and love beyond words".

As a gift
                                                       By: Daniella Monteiro
Finally, the year is almost finished. Yes, it’s time to relax, have fun, but at the same time: Think. What did you learn? What have you been thinking? What will you do in the future? Probably, there are difficult questions with difficult anwers too. With all this worries, (the present, the past and the future) me and every single person in the world, like you, would became crazy!
However, to change this situation of preoccupation, the solution is always around us: Friends and family! They can guarantee the most special times in our lifes. Despite of worrying you, they show the best values: happiness, hope, love, peace and others, by telling you the truth, giving some advices, showing the other path and, perfectly, showing that life can be worth living!
In this year, mainly, I’ve learnt something really important. Altough, in life, we have few friends that are unforgettable, they are the ones that we can trust with eyes closed. I’ve met many persons, but they cannot be compared with our truly friends. If we made this huge mistake by comparing them, we’d be hurt.
As my drama teacher used to say: “Life seems to be a long journey to the universe. But, life is a serie of seconds, minutes, hours and days. And with just a few moments, it is gone. Over. Finite. So, why waste a singular instant of it?" By Amelia May Haskell. This phrase translate all my thoughts in words, because everyone knows the existence of moments worth living, but the beautiful question is: How to use them in our benefit?
I’ve been discovering, during all my years in this messy world, that the misterious answer is: live unexpectedly, enjoy every moment, put your priorities in first place. Have you already completed this actions? If you say "yes" to these question, your great happiness will come as a gift.

Voices from the list

In our English class, we watched "Voices from the list. This video is a documentary about the suvivors of the Second World War who were saved by Oskar Schindler. He made a list of jews in order to take them out of the concentrations camps to avoid their deaths.
This documentary was made with the acounts of jewish survivors who passed through many dificulties in Nazi camps. Their narratives are full of emotion that pass painful feeling, sadness and human disrespect.
However, the mensage of the video is about hope and resistence. With Schindler, they could think that better days would come and they would live in peace again. For the Jews: "Schindler was like God".
In the documentary, while the jews are talking about their hard life in the sub-camps, we can see photos and little videos of their families. In addition to this, Nazi's army and Hitler's speeches are showed.
We recommend not just the docummentary, but also the film and the book(Schindler's List), because it is a complement of the video. With all this material, we could understand better the Second World War.

Family Relationship

In the last century, the family relationships between parents and children have changed a lot. The children are becoming more independent. But.. Why?That's what our new article talks about.

The main cause of this rupture with family home is the technology revolution which has been working as a “freedom door”.  The teenagers are able to get more information through the computer than through a usual conversation with their parents.
The good point is that when they're connect into the Internet, they can be interested in lot of things at the same time, and this can be useful to expand their knowledge area. Another advantage is the contact with people of all parts of the world, therefore, learning with the differences, and being open to new ideas and thoughts.
We can say that the internet can be good if used in a correct form. The parents must control the time that their sons and daughters spend in the computer by creating a 'law'. That 'law' have to be respect, because it's a parental obligation put limits and show their kids how to 'pave their own paths'. For example: when parets set a maximum time to use the tecnological device, in order to make a focus time, which can be used to study or to read some books.
However, the family conversation can be impaired, because the ficction world is much easier and more attractive than the real world, where our choices have consequences in our future. Too complicated. Furthermore, some psychologists, who were interviewed by VEJA, think that teenagers are precocious nowadays. The alienation caused by the electronic devices can be the start of an argument: Teenagers X Parents.
According to VEJA, arguments like this should be held in a calm place, without anger's feelings. It's a mistake to argue with teenagers, because it don't make things easier and it is not a real solution to the problem. Sometimes, if this kind of this arguments increase in a large scale, it can affect all the family. Parents try to put limits, but if the teenager don't have any ideas of the consequences for him, it can cause a huge misundestanding, which results in parental divorced
This term had a pejorative way in the past, because it was believed that children of divorced parents were condemned to suffering and unhappiness. At the same time, real life has proved a very different situation. The number of men and women who make a sincere effort, and usually succeeds, to educate and give affection to the children of their first marriage of his new companion have been increasing. In many cases, children of divorced parents tend to develop social relationships, that are rich and creative.
To conclude, all of this facts are changes caused by the new society evolution and the only solution is: We have to adapt to them!

Criança Esperança - A social Project

The Criança Esperança Campaign is a project of Rede Globo in partnership with Unesco. All money raised by the campaign is deposited directly into that body that, since 2004, is responsible for selection, technical and financial monitoring of supported projects.
One of the projects supported is the Espaço Criança Esperança of Belo Horizonte, which has been working since July 2003, in the Serra neighborhood, a group of six villages. The community have 47 000 inhabitants and the project helps 1071 children and, among them, adolescents between 06 and 18 years. The Criança Esperança Space promotes social inclusion and critical consciousness through education. Moreover, it also has activities for youth and adults who wish to complete primary education with lessons in the afternoon and evening.
The activities performed are concentrated on four types activities: Sports, Education, Culture and Psychosocial Care. One of these courses is the computer course, which students have more access to current technological world. Like in the project of Rodrigo Baggio, (read in classroom), teachers have the objective of apply the drugs and violence questions indirectly, because they know that advertisements like: "Leave the drug trade" will not work and may cause problems with drug dealers. The main objective is innovation, showing students that they are capable of developing modern skills and that skills could help them to get a good job in the future.
